First parts of the frame
You are viewing the imperial (feet, inches) version of this plan, original measurements have been converted to feet and inches with 1/32'' precision. See also Chicken coop plans: Metric (millimetres/centimetres).
Begin by making the base frame and the sides of the house, referring to Figure 2.1. These parts will be joined together to form the main frame of your chicken coop.
The diagonal pieces will form the supports for the roof. They rest at a 45 degree angle, so set your skill saw to 45 degrees (or measure with a protractor) and cut.
The 90 9/16'' lengths of timber stick out almost 4'' at one end of the base frame. This overhang will make it easy to attach wheels later on so you can move your coop around.
