The all important nest boxes

The nest boxes extend from the rear of the house and, like the rest of the house, are lined with plywood. Figure 5.2 shows the nest box and side supports without the house (for a clearer view). Figure 5.1 shows how the nest boxes attach to the house.
The nest box frame is big enough for two nests, so place a plywood division in the middle (see photos on page 9).
The nest box frame may look flimsy sticking out the back of the house at this point, but it will gain extra strength when lined with plywood in the next step. The plywood doubles as bracing and the frame will end up strong and rigid.
