• 2 onions
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp coriander, dried
  • 2 tsp cumin, dried
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 2 Tbsp butter or non-dairy spread
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup + 4 Tbsp coconut cream
  • meat (fish, lamb, or chicken) for 2-3 people


Place one onion, ginger, garlic, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and chilli in a food processor and blend on high until a smooth paste is formed.

Spread this paste over your chosen chopped meat and set aside to marinate.

In a pan or wok, heat the butter until melted along with the other onion until soft.

Now add the marinated meat to the pan until cooked through. Add the tomato paste and all the coconut cream. Simmer on low and stir occassionally until the liquid starts to thicken.

Serve with cooked rice and vegetables of your choice.
