Ingredients

  • ¼ cup dairy free margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup lactose-free milk or water
  • 1 cup grated apple
  • 1 ¼ cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 ¼ tsps baking powder
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tblsp sugar

Method

In a large bowl combine margarine, egg, liquid and apple.

In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and sugar.

Stir flour mixture into apple mixture just until combined.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over a medium heat.

Pour the batter, brown on both sides and serve hot.
