Ingredients

  • 2-3 ripe frozen bananas (with spotty skins)
  • 1/4 C frozen berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc)
  • Optional fruit: plums, apricots, nectarines, etc

Method

Prefreeze all the fruit a couple of hours before processing. Remove the skins from the bananas, and any stones from the fruit. You can freeze all the fruit together in a container or bag. If berries aren't in season you can usually buy boxes or bags of berries in the freezer compartment of your grocery store for a reasonable price.

Once the fruit is frozen, tip the contents into your food processor. Blend in bursts until the fruit resembles a smooth, creamy paste. There should be no lumps of ice left.

Once served, chocolate chips or chopped nuts make a nice topping. Eat right away as this will not keep once processed.
