Have you discovered the the "Couch to 5km" running plan yet? Its a popular program to get unfit people running 5km non-stop within nine weeks.

Gym memberships can cost the earth and - lets face it - most of us don't get our money's worth. If you have been hanging around in fitness circles on the interweb you may have seen people mention something called "Couch to 5km", often "C25K" for short.

This is a tried and true program than many otherwise sedentary people seem to be raving about.  It really seems to get results. likely because:

  • It uses a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound)
  • It has a catchy name :)

Getting outdoors beats the gym any day, and when you reach the goal it sill give you something to boast about on Facebook.

This is a program built for real people, not marathon runners.  You will find it easy to stick to and it is flexible enough to fit around those days (or weeks!) when you just don't feel like getting out of bed.
