Pros: Gentle and nourishing on hair, chemical free, affordable
Cons: Nothing

I tried numerous brands of shampoo/conditioner in my quest for sleek and shiny hair. I eventually discovered that anything with sodium laureth sulphate strips my hair, leaving it dry, frizzy and prone to breakage. I discovered this when I stumbled across Organic Care hair products. I’ve never looked back.

This product claims to be free of harmful ingredients like Sodium Lauryl or Laureth Sulfate, mineral oil, ammonium lauryl, parabens, or dyes. The packaging is plant derived and hence recyclable, compostable and biodegradable, and grey water safe too.

There are four different shampoo/conditioner products to suit every hair type. With natural ingredients like bitter orange extract, olive leaf extract, coconut oil, macadamia nut seed oil, and aloe vera leaf juice. Your hair smells divine and is left feeling clean, smoother and shinier.

Despite the claims, the results are what keep me coming back to this product.

This product gives a good amount of lather, which I haven’t always found to be the case with other organic hair products. My hair literally changed overnight when I first used this product. I was exasperated with my hair and thought I would just have to accept that my hair was naturally frizzy, coarse and dry. I had been using other products (gels, mousse) to tame it. I even tried washing it less, cutting it more often, but with no difference whatsoever.

I’ve been using this product for several years now and today I just wash and leave my hair to dry naturally and am happy with the results.

It’s affordable and can be found in your local supermarket or department store.
